2. Technical provision

This website is delivered by a lean server application that provides the pages, images and design elements as well as the contact form. No login is required to use the website.

When a website is accessed, the delivering web server receives technically necessary information, in particular the IP address, the address requested, the time and details of the browser used. This includes the language set in your browser: when the home page is opened, the server uses this setting to decide whether to show the German or the English version; it is not stored for this purpose. Whether and for how long this information is stored in log files depends on the hosting service used and its configuration.

The legal basis for the technically necessary processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in the reliable and secure provision of the website.

3. Cookies, analytics and embedded content

This website does not set any analytics, advertising or tracking cookies and does not use web analytics. Only the contact form uses a technically necessary cookie to protect against misuse (see section 4). Images are delivered together with the website; fonts are chosen from the system fonts available on your device. Videos, maps and social media feeds are not embedded.

4. Contact form

When you use the contact form, we process the details you enter: name, email address, the selected topic and your message and, if you fill in these voluntary fields, your company, your phone number and the address of your LinkedIn profile. Transmission is encrypted. The details are stored on the server on which this website is operated and are used exclusively to process your inquiry. We reply to you personally by email or, if you provide a phone number, also by phone. If you have provided your LinkedIn profile, we may open it in order to better assess your inquiry; LinkedIn’s privacy policy applies to this visit. Your data is not passed on to third parties, no emails are sent automatically and the data is not used for advertising.

To protect against abusive and automated submissions, the form sets a technically necessary cookie containing a random form key as soon as it is displayed. It is valid for 30 minutes and is not used to recognize you. In addition, the number of inquiries per sender is limited. For this purpose, your IP address is processed only as a pseudonymized check value in the server’s memory and discarded after 15 minutes at the latest; it is not stored together with your inquiry.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your inquiry is aimed at a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in processing your inquiry and protecting the form against misuse. Storing the form cookie on your device is strictly necessary under Section 25(2) no. 2 of the German TDDDG in order to provide the form you are using.

Stored inquiries are deleted automatically after 180 days unless statutory retention obligations apply, for example if your inquiry leads to an order.

5. Contact by email or phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process your contact details and the content of your inquiry in order to handle your request. The email links open your own email program; nothing is sent until you send your message there.

For pre-contractual or contractual inquiries, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other inquiries, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR is the basis; our legitimate interest is handling your message.

The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose, unless statutory retention obligations or other legal reasons prevent this.

6. Links to other websites

Links to LinkedIn and to other offerings lead to independent websites. The respective website is only accessed when you open such a link. The privacy policy of the respective operator applies there.

7. Your rights

Within the scope of the statutory requirements, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it with effect for the future.

Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you can object on grounds relating to your particular situation.

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For private companies in Bavaria, the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision is the competent authority. To exercise your rights, you can reach us at info@scheller-edv.de.
